Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my candidacy for AASL President-elect. There is a lot at stake for our profession and for education in general. I know there is a great deal of work to be done. I am committed to helping learning communities understand the essential role and value of school librarians to ensure that all students and teachers succeed. I hope my Statement of Concern in the Jan/Feb edition of Knowledge Quest will help you to get a better sense of the critical areas of focus that I believe AASL needs to address:
